OLIVE AND PEACH PITS TO PRODUCE FUNCTIONAL FOODS FOR CHOLESTEROL OR HYPERTENSION


Researchers of the Micro-Separation Techniques Group of the University of Alcala de Henares (UAH) are involved in a project based on adding bioactive ingredients from olives and peaches pits to foods such as yogurt, fruit and vegetables drinks, as well as meat products in general, which will provide  antioxidant, antihypertensive and hypocholesterolemic properties.
